Claudia Sartini-Rideout holds a degree from the University of Siena (Italy), and she received a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.  

She has been teaching as an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of Iowa since 2012. During her time at the University, she has been teaching elementary and intermediate level Italian language courses and a course on Italian Food Culture. She has also developed online Italian language courses through DOE (University of Iowa Distance and Online Education).
